Implementing portability
Published on 10/04/2021

As part of the DathackInnovation Challenge, we are hosting a series of roundtable webinars with several leading experts in their fields.

The third and final topic in this series is about“implementing portability”

The right to portability is often confused with the right to access: a consumer/client/employee asks for a copy of their data. For all that, the spirit of the text was quite different, the objective being to encourage data controllers to develop interoperable formats and to avoid imprisoning the data subject in a service.

In practice, how can this right be implemented and how can its organization be democratized among the various actors?
